A Night of 1000 Candles - Illuminate the Night
Imagine a starlit field aglow with 1000 flickering candles, each one a symbol of nourishment, warmth, and hope. Join The Giving Place for A Night of 1000 Candles, a magical evening dedicated to raising funds and awareness for food security in our community.
Since 2019, The Giving Garden Haven has donated 100% of its fresh, locally grown produce to essential local food programs, including the Holland Landing Food Pantry, Keswick Fridge, Georgina Food Pantry, Second Chance Clothing Depot & Food Closet, and the Mount Albert United Church Food Pantry. But with growing needs and limited seasonal harvests, we must expand.
This year’s event will raise critical funds to help us grow food year-round through infrastructure upgrades including solar power, a greenhouse expansion, improved water access, and essential tools. Your support directly translates to feeding more families, more often.
This isn’t just a fundraiser, it’s a heartfelt gathering that blends live music, a candlelit pathway, elegant catering and a silent auction of handcrafted illuminated centrepieces made by our sponsors.
Each guest will receive delicious food and drink , and will also have the opportunity to add their own candle to the path, extending the glow of generosity throughout the evening.
